Silicone sleeves are used to bundle and insulate a cable, especially at high temperatures. Rubber sleeves protect the cable from dirt, corrosion and abrasion and act as kink protection.
The sleeves are particularly easy to fit using a sleeves expender tool. They are slipped onto the sticks, widened (see picture on the left) and placed on the cable.
Up to size ST 4, the grommets are coated with lubricant.
